My Estonian experience
This travel has been the best travel I have ever done thanks to my Estonian partner.
Since I arrived at the airport he made me feel like I was at home giving me all the facilities I needed and all I wanted. When you travel abroad, when you take part in this kind of travel it is very common to feel embarrassed sometimes due to the differences between cultures but their culture was not so different from ours.
Regarding the activities, we visited some museums and I enjoyed the interesting places of Estonia we saw. For the future I would rather visit more places of the old part of Tallinn than visit castles or all this kind of buildings that were far from the city.
I personally would like to thank my Estonian partner all the incredible and interesting places he showed me. He made a great effort to show me the old part and at the same time give me an amusing tour around it.
I would recommend to anyone to take part in these Europeans projects because in addition to learning new cultures and improving your English level you have a very suitable occasion to make new friends, friends that you will always remember.

Our visit to Estonia
After having had a nice experience in Vitoria with Estonian students, the day to go to their country finally arrived. I didn’t know anything about Estonia so I went without any expectations. When we were flying to Estonia our teachers told me that a girl would host me. At first, I didn’t know if that would be positive or negative butnow I can say that having a girl as a host wasn’t bad at all. Both the new Estonian people and the Turkish ones who we met there were very friendly, and we had great fun with them. We also met the Estonians who had come to Vitoria and it was nice to see them again.
It is said that Estonian people are quite shy and that they don’t express their feelings, but the people who I met were very cheerful and chatty. Apart from that, the country wasn’t as I had thought. There were many green areas, a fact which I didn’t expect after having heard that in winter they had -22 degrees. Estonia is so beautiful, and the village where I spent the week was incredibly peaceful. The only thing that you could hear outside was the birds singing!
We had also the opportunity to visit another country, Finland whose capital is Helsinki. Helsinki was a very interesting city, withincredible buildings and our visit was quite special because that day the localpeople celebrated their own carnival; due to that many people were dressed up and we saw some events related to this day.
The project also helped us to improve our English, since it was the only language which all the people were able to speak. In conclusion, we had an incredible experience; we met fantastic people, besides improving our English so I can say that this week was one of the best ones of my life. I wouldn’t have lived this incredible experience if the Comenius project hadn’t existed. I think that these kinds of projects are very important for students; since you know different cultures and meet fantastic people. These projects also encourage you to speak in another language, and finally you speak in English without difficulties.
